Review:

Talvin, being as eclectic as usual, mixes a lot of contemporary club styles on this one. He programmed all of the tracks together with his engineer Brad(Somatik)Munn, and then, it seems , invited lots of guest artists to play and sing over them. Last time,on OK a lot of these guest were well known people, this time he seems to concentrate more on his own musical family.

Well when I originally requested for someone to help me write reviews, I was doubtful any one will reply. But, one person did!! and, I am so happy to have him helping me out. Pray, that he sticks around, 'cause its nice to see someone else's name on AV other than myself. :). Say hello to Shazam! my friends, and his two reviews:Badmarsh+Shri - Signs and Talvin Singh - Ha. Thanx Shazam! for joining AV's quest to enlighten the world to a world outside of POP!

Review:

A high strung voice and intricate music, leaves you wondering, is anjali really a south asian girl? Not to streotype our women in any way but come on now, how often do you hear of a south asian girl doing trip hop, with a drum & base and funk flare?

Due to my involvement with another project I am in dire need of some help for AV. I need someone to help me write reviews for the site. If the person is close enough to my location in nyc, the music that needs to be reviewed will be provided. So get in touch with me at webmaster (at) asianvibrations.com and if possible send me a list of the albums that you already own and that are part of av's playlist and/or the review section (even the albums that have already been reviewed can be mentioned).
Thanks everyone.

Review:

South Asian fusion in my experience has been rock, hip hop, drum & bass and jazz. This man however, attempts a whole new direction. Trip hop, funk and rock meet South Asia in a dynamic blend of lyrics that encompass everything from love and sex to drugs and pollution; How could you not like this album?
